Arc’teryx Cold WX LEAF Quick Review

Non-ordinary Insulated Jacket. This jacket provides a better insulation than any other jacket can offer from my opinion. I owned Arc’teryx Alpha LT. It is really light and it’s good for cold weather like in California. The regular Arc’teryx Alpha LT is able to absorb cold weather from 60-50f. But it is a different story with Arc’teryx LEAF Cold WX Jacket. The jacket can absorb cold weather below 50f just fine.

2nd of all the jacket provides patches panel on left and right sleeve. I’m considering myself a patches collector and this is a plus point for Arc’teryx jacket to provide an insulated jacket with the patch panel on left and right of the sleeve. And one last thing why I chose this model, is because on the front of the jacket it still showing the Arc’teryx letter with the logo its own. I feel that one day that Arc’teryx will shift their idea to not having the Arc’teryx letter on the front of the jacket anymore and instead of a letter it will be replaced with its own Arc’teryx logo only. So might as well to have this model from now on or extra unit to put into a collection.

If you ask how warm this jacket can be? oh it is warm and can be really warm. It’s puffy, and when you wear it the jacket is ready to warm your body from the cold weather.

So I’m happy with this jacket and I’m going to use for cold weather purpose and it will be my next to go traveling jacket for cold weather destination.

I will provide more pictures below. Enjoy !!

And bonus:

Tom Hardy, preparation for Venom 2018 ( He is also wearing the same color and same model from Arc’teryx LEAF ):

Peak Design Everyday Backpack 20L

I decided to get a new camera backpack, and it was my first pack from Peak Design. My first thought when I saw this backpack, the design was okay. It’s neat and well built but it’s not my kind of backpack. I’m always into with military backpack. But I decided to try this backpack from PD. I ordered and received before Christmas 2016. Since I received my 5d mark IV. I’m planning to get a new case for this camera from Peak Design backpack. It fits perfect for my 5d mark IV with 14mm lens attached to the camera body. I also added my 13 inch macbook pro to into this backpack and also another accessories such as 50mm 1.8 for my 5d mark IV. Last but not least I have my smartphone 3 axis gimbal from Zhiyun, Zhiyun Smooth. I put all of them into this Everyday Backpack 20L. I’m surprised it fits well and not too squishy at all, and it still has extra space too for my power cable, mobile battery, portable wifi.

I’m curious on how durable and how strong is this backpack. So I decided to carry this backpack to japan with me. Turns out, this backpack shows the most out of it when it comes to performance. This backpack made my travel become much easier, on the back of the pack it has a small space that you can attach the backpack onto your hand carry luggage handle. This is a plus point for me because I don’t think any other brand of camera backpack offers this feature for people who like to take a picture while traveling.

I love this backpack cause it makes my daily routine become easier and much simple. But it came with a price which it’s not cheap at all. This backpack cost you around $259 if I’m not mistaken after tax and free shipping.

Mystery Ranch Dragon Skiritai

Not much to say about these pack. But I love it from top lid of the pack to bottom. And don’t ask about the quality of this pack. Two thumbs up and hands down. The Foliage Green is Dragon Slayer and for the coyote Brown, that’s a Skiritai Pack. I use my dragon slayer for a short hike, and travel to a short distance miles. The skiritai is a little bit bigger. My option that time, either should I go with Skiritai or with S.A.T.L. But I guess since this is the last piece of skiritai, it might be a good idea for me to put this pack on my cabinet. When I wore this pack, the BVS support system is spectacular, and I’m surprisingly happy with it. Especially the NICE Frame that comes with this pack, that you can detach the shoulder strap or the yoke system and turn the strap a little bit bigger. So the pack itself will be able to carry more stuff in between of the yoke system and the backpack.

If you’re into with hiking, travelling and looking to get a bigger pack. I would suggest you should try with either Dragon Slayer or Komodo Dragon from Mystery Ranch. Those are the two style packs that I would suggest you to get one for a long term use.

Presidents Day 2015

This is the first trip that I’ve had for a long time. Me and my friends, we stayed at the mammoth lake cabin. It has a tremendous view, and a great hospitality from the place where we stayed. Met nice people, and overall it was a pretty good horizon and vibe. Worth of shot if you’re thinking about a getaway from Los Angeles. We stayed there for 3 nights and me personally, it was the best time that I’ve had since a year ago. Although it was a long weekend, I had a wonderful valentines day with a beautiful girl that I’ve met earlier.

the good part about this trip, that I’m able to carry my pack during the traveling. It wasn’t too shabby at all. I had this pack for 2 weeks already and it brings me joy for me since I only carried one pack for this trip, I’m able to make it out of the most. The pack itself was designed by Mystery Ranch. Been using their pack for over 4 Years, and all their packs work like a charm for 1 day trip, 3 days trip, and for urban purpose which it can be use inside the city.

Mystery Ranch 3 Days Assault Pack (3DAP) Multicam

if your into and dedicated your hobby as a backpack collector, who don’t  recognize Mystery Ranch 3DAP as a top of backpack line brand? personal opinion? it’s the most comfortable backpack. Wanna go hike?fishing? ride a bike with it? school with this pack? travel with this pack? my answer will be: “it’s ready to challenge everywhere, wherever, and whenever you ready”. the shoulder pad and especially for me it kind a helping my back and I don’t feel tired when I’m carrying this 3dap with me. Well, if you’re going to buy this pack, first of all you need to adjust and to choose which yoke that will the right one for you. After you’ve finish decided which yoke you want, you need to consider if you’re going to need waist live wing or not. As a reference, I’m 5’9″ and I’m using MEDIUM Yoke and a Small Waist live wing. the rest is pick what color you want, they have coyote brown, multicam, foliage, black. but the funny thing I saw they have it in OD color but it’s not available on their online store. I guessed it’s a custom order.

the pack itself has 2 compartment, one on the right and the other is on the left of the backpack which allow you to put your water bottle. and not just that, inside of the backpack you can put a hydration bladder, and maximum 3 small jacket with a 13 – 15″ of your laptop or your macbook pro. the 3DAP can fit a lot of stuff. and for me I can survive with this backpack more than a week if I carry this pack everywhere I go.

Shot Show 2014, Mystery Ranch.

This is my first time attending shot show 2014. My Impression is it was awesome, I can’t described how it feels like. Even word has no meaning anymore. It’s like a heaven for me, like I live in neverland. Sorry if that’s too much but it is true all the effort that I’ve contributed on this travel by myself is really worth every penny. It took me 4 hours to get to Sands Expo, Las Vegas and I had fun doing this by myself.no hazel, I can get there as fast as I want without need to worry about anything.

In this show, I met lot of nice people from all firearms, outdoor/military gear company. At first I thought it’s gonna be lame or lot’s of mean people but it’s the opposite. They’re super nice and asked me why my name is spanish name but my face is asian face? I guess the joke was on me.

Oh, and please accept my apology since my grammar is not that good, I hope you guys willing to bear with me here. 🙂

here are all the booth that I’ve visited :

– Blue Force Gear
– Mystery Ranch
– London Bridge Trading
– ADS
– Verty’x
– Ops Core
– Knight Armament
– Advance Armament Corp
– Heckler & Koch
– Eagle Industries
– Bates
– Firstspear
– Sig Sauer

For Mystery Ranch, I had to get myself to this booth since I want to know more about how they do fitting with this backpack. It’s not just a regular backpack, but you when you have this backpack you really need to know how to set up the yoke (the backpack shoulder strap, they have one at the top of shoulder and one on the bottom of shoulder strap).

I would suggest to you, if you’re height is 5’9″, you should go with medium YOKE, not a small yoke. Cause mine is small and It feel a lil bit uncomfortable because the length of the shoulder strap is shorter and it’s not wide like medium yoke has.

Overall I love this backpack. I know it’s expensive but from the quality of the fabric, performance of the backpack, it won’t lie you and that’s the reason I still stick with Mystery Ranch. Even they’re service is really nice and great. So, two thumbs up for this company & thank you for making such a great backpack !
